چکیده
Objective: Ankylosing spondylitis is a part of diseases called “seronegative spondyloarthropathy”. Affects the vertebral column, sacroiliac joint and peripheral joints. This chronic rheumatic disorder involved extra -articular parts like Heart, lungs, central nervous system eyes. lead to multiple cardiac complication such as systolic diastolic dysfunction left ventricle, valvular involvement , inflammation aorta pericardium with enlargement heart. Aim study: To evaluate ventricle by echocardiography speckle tracking in ankylosing patients. Method: Fifty adult patients Spondylitis fulfilling inclusion criteria coming outpatients Merjan Medical City were recruited, diagnosed according American College Rheumatology criteria; 2D Echocardiography, Tissue Doppler Imaging Speckle Tracking Echocardiography was done. Statistical analysis correlation done Chi‑square test t-test, statistical significance taken P < 0.05. Results :There significant lowering mean global longitudinal strain than control ( p = 0.047*).

Assessment of Subclinical Myocardial Changes in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: A Case-Control Study Using Speckle Tracking Echocardiography
Background: Considering the association between cardiac abnormalities and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), the present study aimed to evaluate the relationship between biopsy-proven NAFLD and functional echocardiographic parameters, including left ventricular (LV) global longitudinal strain (GLS) in asymptomatic individuals. Methods: Thirty asymptomatic patients with liver biopsy-prov...
متن کاملSubclinical LV Dysfunction Detection Using Speckle Tracking Echocardiography in Hypertensive Patients with Preserved LV Ejection Fraction
BACKGROUND Early detection of subclinical left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction in hypertensive patients is important for the prevention of progression of hypertensive heart disease. METHODS We studied 60 hypertensive patients (age ranged from 21 to 49 years, the duration of hypertension ranged from 1 to 18 years) and 30 healthy controls, all had preserved left ventricular ejection fract...
متن کاملEvaluation of subclinical left ventricular systolic dysfunction using two-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography in patients with non-alcoholic cirrhosis.
INTRODUCTION Cirrhosis is associated with certain abnormalities in left ventricular (LV) structure and function. Two-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) enables a rapid and accurate analysis of regional LV systolic mechanics in the longitudinal, radial and circumferential directions. The aim of this study was to precisely assess the differences among the 3 directions in the e...
متن کاملMyocardial dysfunction in ankylosing spondylitis.
Echocardiographic evidence has suggested abnormalities of the myocardial function in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. In this work the cardiac function in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and in normal volunteers was evaluated. Twenty four normal volunteers and 21 patients with ankylosing spondylitis aged 18-45 were studied. None had overt cardiac disease. Cardiac function was assessed...
متن کاملSubclinical left ventricular systolic dysfunction in patients with severe aortic stenosis: A speckle-tracking echocardiography study.
OBJECTIVE In patients with aortic stenosis (AS), the left ventricular (LV) geometry changes due to the increased LV afterload. However, subclinical myocardial dysfunction can develop despite a normal LV ejection fraction (EF). This study was an investigation of subclinical LV systolic dysfunction in patients with severe AS with a normal LV EF using a strain imaging method, speckle-tracking echo...
